When you go out to buy safety gear, do you choose the things that are the safest for the money that you have, or do you also look for the ones that look good? Would looks sway your decision?

Well, looks are important. We have the vanity factor to consider.
But, I would consider quality first and looks later. After all, my life is more important than my looks. I would first see that the safety gear is high quality; and I willing to pay through my nose for high-quality safety gear.

Basically I would choose the best looking item out of the price range I could afford and the safety stuff that I was looking for. I would never sacrifice safety just for looks.

I think we all like flash and want to look cool. If at all possible I try to shop for both. I don't really do bargain hunting when it comes to safety, so I believe you can get flashy equipment that is safe at the same price, if you don't have to worry about getting cheap equipment.

Safety gear? Don't need no stinking safety gear!
LOL - only joking, of course. Only an idiot would worry more about how cool he looks than how he'll survive should something go wrong.
