When we were kids my parents always took us camping. I think they thought it would make the family closer. And maybe it did. But one of the places we went in out adventures was Lake Michigan. And if you've ever been there, you'll remember the dunes of white sand. As a kid it seemed like it was never ending. We got ourselves some sandboards and just started doing it. Until I started reading this forum I'd forgotten about those memories. Maybe I'll try to make my way there again and relive some old memories. Wish me luck!

Some of the best memories, I have is when my family did outdoor stuff together. To this day, I would rather be outdoors than anywhere. Let us know how your trip goes, when you get it put together.

What exactly is sandboarding?  I am not sure I've heard this term before.  I've seen landsailing which is pretty cool but not sandboarding.  Is this something new or has it been around for a while without me hearing of it?

Camping will either bring you together or send you all screaming in different directions because you've had enough of one another. lol

That's great that you've pulled up some old memories. Good for you!

Michigan is one of the titles of The Red Hot Chilli Pepper's tracks, which is what I thought of straight away after reading you post Die Hard. Second is I remember always going on family outings as a kid. Sad thing is I was always too embarrassed of my parents to enjoy the time together, which I now miss.
